ORIGIN PUPUSAS
Pupusas are a traditional dish of Salvadoran cuisine, considered one of the most representative foods of the region. These are thick, hand-made tortillas, usually made of corn dough, filled with a variety of delicious ingredients. The most common filling includes cheese, refried beans, but there are also more modern options that incorporate ingredients such as loroco (an edible flower), spinach, and other types of cheeses.
